Overview
Northbound is a concept project exploring how to make travel planning more intuitive. The challenge was to balance utility (schedules, notes, packing lists) with a minimalist visual language.
Process
I designed the system around a single core idea: everything should be accessible within two taps. This resulted in a modular bottom navigation pattern and a clean, spacious layout with large touch targets.
Outcome
The final prototype tested extremely well, with users mentioning that it “felt calm compared to typical travel apps.”
